Teaching theatre contracts

The Ottawa School of Theatre (formerly OYPTS) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that provides theatre education in English and French for students of all ages.
Contracts are available for our upcoming 2017-2018 school year:

Sept-June classes plus workshop intensive contract positions, French and English
Our classes range from preschool drama, introducing participants as young as 4 years old to theatre at the most basic level, through to specialized senior classes that focus on a specific aspect of theatre study. As part of our teaching team, your assigned class load is matched to your theatre skills, experience and availability. Working with the Artistic Director, you are responsible for developing your lesson plan, teaching your weekly classes, and preparing your students to perform in the OST/ETOStudent Spring Showcase. Some senior classes also perform at local schools and other venues in the city.
Candidates must have related teaching/theatre arts experience; University or comparable education/experience; and the ability to work flexible hours and provide own transportation.
A current police check for the vulnerable sector is required.
OST/ETO teachers must have boundless enthusiasm and energy, and a genuine love of children!
Fluency in French is an asset.
