Join us as we navigate the challenges of finding your audience and developing support for your work. These four sessions will walk you through the key elements in building a successful engagement strategy and give you the tools to create or enhance your current system. 

* Workshops will build on the content discussed in the previous session, but sessions are useful as a stand-alone as well.

Wednesday, January 18, 2017 – Setting the Foundation – Identifying You and Your Value

Your audience is out there; they just don’t know it yet! Through this session we will help you develop a mindset so you can find your audience anywhere and everywhere. This session will start by answering these three important questions:

  1. Who are you/what is your brand?
  2. Who is your audience?
  3. What value do you bring to them and they bring to you?

By answering these questions and determining your value proposition, you will have an easier time attracting audience and supporters. 

This session will give you the basics to build on over the following sessions. The value proposition is a key element as you move forward with both audience development and revenue development, and plays a major role in the creation of a case for support. 

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 – Strategizing Your Success

Now that you know your value, how do you apply it to developing supporters? Through this session we will learn how to prioritize selecting key audience and revenue development strategies, and how to match your goals with your available resources. 

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 – Measuring Impact 

You know your value and you have starting executing your strategies, but how do you know they are working? This session will show you how to measure results and assess impact - what tools do you need to effectively measure success and how do you use that information to take your strategy to the next level.

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 – Now That You’ve Got Them, How Do You Keep Them?

You have done the work and built your audience, now what? How do you not only keep them engaged, but also get them more engaged? How do you get them to talk about your work and attract other people? This session will explore the concept of stewardship – how you continue to build your relationships with supporters and leverage these existing relationships to continue to grow your audience.
