Sweetheart Cocktail for the Arts

Feeling the love at the Sweetheart Cocktail for the Arts

2017 Sweetheart Cocktail for the Arts

It was a heartening evening at the Bridgehead Roastery as over one hundred arts supporters spread warmth and affection as the Ottawa Arts Council celebrated our 35th Anniversary at the Sweetheart Cocktail for the Arts. Current and former Directors of the Council welcomed guests on this occasion to mark our significant milestone.

On hand to help us celebrate was Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Diane Deans and Councillor Rick Chiarelli who surprised us with a congratulatory plaque honouring our 35 years of service to the community.

Guests were treated to some memorable tunes spun by DJSweetcheeks while many lined up eager to pose at the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa’s (SPAO) Polaroid booth. The silent auction had a great assortment of tempting items and Bridgehead served up some tasty treats and drinks from their attentive staff. A special shout-out goes to Scotiabank, our Lead Community Partner, and their staff who volunteered on the evening.

Thanks to all guests, sponsors and volunteers who contributed to this successful fundraiser, we surely felt the love.
