Rideau High Community Hub

The Council is a core partner in the Rideau High Community Hub.

While most groups around the table represent their own organization, the Council is a voice for the cultural community. Meeting

Led by the Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre and the Odawa Native Friendship Circle, there are currently 32 groups who have expressed interest in having space in the hub. Key issues, including governance and management for the site are in discussion by core partners.

There are many groups currently looking for affordable space (administrative, rehearsal, etc) and this community hub can solve many of those issues. The Council’s involvement in the Rideau High Community Hub is timely, as the lack of affordable spaces was a big concern raised during the Cultural Sustainability Project.
