Jennifer Clark was born in Toronto, grew up in Ottawa and has spent most of her adult life living abroad, in the United Kingdom and Australia. She holds an Honours Bachelor and a Master of Arts in English from Carleton University, as well as a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University.

Jennifer has been a leader in education for nine years, specialising in English, History and Special Education. She has spent her time in schools supporting the social, emotional and behavioural needs of young people and youth at risk.

Jennifer is also a freelance writer and editor who specializes in telling the story within the story. She creates a wide variety of content for her clients, which include local technology start-ups and SaaS companies. For fun, she has her own blog, Not So Random Associations, and writes for fair trade and sustainability publications.

Her involvement with the Ottawa Arts Council started in 2017, upon her return to Canada, as a Communications and Social Media volunteer. Her involvement quickly evolved and she now joins the team as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator on a part-time basis.
