The Rectory Art House in the Byward Market is pleased to announce its Annual Open Studios is now a two-day event due to popular demand. The Annual Open Studios will take place on Friday, September 13 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

 

On Friday, September 13, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Rectory Art House celebrates their ninth Annual Open Studios with a kick-off party open to the public. Art lovers and curious minds are invited to experience a creative evening of visual art and custom design alongside the Rectory Art House’s artists and creators. This is an opportunity to meet some of the city’s most accomplished artists in their working studios and preview some of their upcoming work. This free Open Studios event continues on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

 

The Rectory Art House features a group of ten dynamic artists who work from Lowertown’s premier studio. The artists are featured in some of the country’s most esteemed art galleries, private collections, as well as the prestigious Ottawa Art Gallery.

 

Built in 1892, this former rectory house, adjacent to Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts, plays a vital role in contributing to the culturally rich heritage of both Lowertown and the Ottawa area.
