….I am a photo-based artist who has conducted her artistic practice here in Ottawa since 1995. Over the years, I have combined multiple media with original and found photography, producing bodies of work in series as well as in site-specific installations. More recently, studies in sculpture have heavily influenced my photography, resulting in bodies of work that make use of various collage strategies. The overarching subject that unites all my work is photography itself – its special relationship to time, memory and the uncanny – as well as its unique capacity to contain certain fictions and uncertain truths. ..Je suis une artiste photographe qui mène sa pratique artistique à Ottawa depuis 1995. Au fil des ans, j'ai combiné plusieurs médias avec des photographies originales et trouvées, produisant des séries d'œuvres ainsi que des installations spécifiques. Plus récemment, mes études en sculpture ont fortement influencé ma photographie, ce qui a donné lieu à des œuvres qui font appel à diverses stratégies de collage. ….I have been artistic director of Blink, a creative collective of artists who hosted over 100 exhibitions in Header House, in Major’s Hill Park between 2005-2016. I have participated in photo festivals such as Contact in Toronto, and Festival X in Ottawa. I am an active member of EBA (Enriched Bread Artists) and am currently on their Board.
